Lamplighter Drama Ltd. was founded by Emma Randle (Executive Producer) and Charlotte Lloyd Webber (Executive Director) in 2010 and is dedicated to the creation and production of new and imaginative theatre of many genres. Their name is inspired by their first production:
“Perhaps, the lamplighter is absurd. However… at least his work has some meaning. When he lights his streetlamp, it is as if he brought one more star to life, or one more flower. It is a beautiful occupation. And since it is beautiful, it is truly useful” (from The Little Prince, translated by Irene Testot-Ferry).
Between them, Emma and Charlotte have developed and produced over forty shows in the commercial and subsidised sectors; from Shakespeare and other classic texts to new writing.
Lamplighter Drama are working in partnership with the St Exupéry Estate and their brand licensing partner NDRL on the presentation of The Little Prince, The Musical in the markets around the world, actively endorsed as the ‘made in Britain’ official St Exupéry musical.
NDRL manage the production, distribution and licensing of TV programmes and character based license /fashion brands, 360°, including brand doctoring, brand licensing, brand marketing and brand extension particularly In France, Europe, Russia and Asia.
Major brands include The Little Prince/Le Petit Prince, LOLLIPOPS, Captain Tsubasa, Olive et Tom, Cobra the Space Pirate.
The Antoine de Saint Exupéry Estate has mandated NDRL since 1994 for developing its licensing business in Asia as well as fund raising for new developments in those regions.
